Once you get over yourself and accept that that Welsh accent tumbling from Tom Hardy’s handsome pie hole is actually pretty spot on, you can buckle up and fly right alongside construction worker Ivan Locke (played by TH), as he navigates the s-bends of the sum parts of his existence, from the confines of his BMW X5, while in transit to his future one. "Josephine Decker has created a new style of thriller that employs allegory, incorporates touches of David Lynch as well as Magritte -esque imagery. Decker's setting of a remote farm feels like a metaphor for what turns out to be hell. The raw and emotional (and yes, sometimes funny) dialog tells a story that can seem familiar at points but really is meant to keep you guessing and off balance.
